MARS Wrigley has committed to being naming rights sponsor of Eureka Stadium, better known as Mars Stadium, for another two years.<\/p>\n
The confectioner\u2019s general manager Andrew Leakey said the company proud to continue this sponsorship of the football ground, which began in 2017.<\/p>\n
\u201cMars have been in Ballarat for over 40 years, and make our Mars bars and M&Ms just up the road. We\u2019re proudly part of the community, and want to continue to support the community and City of Ballarat,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen our associates drive past and see the Mars signage here, or come to a major event, like watching the Bulldogs on this ground, they get a real kick out if it, enjoy it, and love it as part of our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Western Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains said Mars Stadium is the club\u2019s much-loved second home where they have \u201cdeeply valued\u201d partnerships, not only with the City of Ballarat and Mars Wrigley but residents.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to have this support for another two seasons at this venue. The Mars brand is iconic internationally, and Mars Wrigley is such a prominent player through the Ballarat community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe look forward to christening the extension with an AFLW match here which we are expecting in round 10.\u201d<\/p>\n
City of Ballarat mayor Cr Daniel Moloney said Mars Wrigley is one of the region\u2019s biggest employers, with about 400 staff.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s important for the stadium to have consistency of brand, and it\u2019s a nationally and internationally-known brand having prominence here at this wonderful stadium,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is one of our pinnacle venues, and it\u2019s impressive to see the amount of investment that\u2019s already gone into it and continues to go on in various stages.<\/p>\n
