BERRYBANK Wind Farm and RMIT University are working together as part of an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, which will support local people in enterprise.<\/p>\n
RMIT University\u2019s executive director policy, strategy and impact Tom Bentley said the Melbourne based uni aims to have a positive impact on nearby communities, both socially and economically, and the new initiative is part of achieving these goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cDelivered by RMIT Activator, the program will see opportunities for members of the community to participate in a variety of entrepreneurship activation initiatives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis will include students at local high schools, people starting out new businesses as well as supporting existing businesses enter the digital economy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Berrybank 1 Wind Farm project director David Santo Tom\u00e1s said the program has been developed to give back to neighbouring Golden Plains and broader Corangamite business communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur aim is to support an intergenerational ecosystem of existing, emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in launching and running new businesses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to be collaborating with RMIT for the delivery of this exciting initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n
RMIT Activator director Matt Salier said the collaborative program will ensure entrepreneurial people between Ballarat and Geelong have the skills, opportunities and innovative mindsets to propel the Shire sustainably into the future.<\/p>\n
