Outings coordinator Robert Thornton said members thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and if the Club could secure funding support again, they would love to run the activity day next year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve all been over the moon to get out and about, have a cup of coffee and have a go at something we\u2019ve never done before. The croquet is a first for nearly everyone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a getaway twice a year. We have 64 people going to Horsham in October, and the games that have been purchased for the activity day will be taken along and used again, so it\u2019s not just a one-off.\u201d<\/p>\n
Currently with 110 members, Buninyong Probus was formed 17 years ago as a not-for-profit, all about friendship, fellowship, and fun in retirement.<\/p>\n
Regular meetings normally take place at the Buninyong Golf Club.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt draws members from local rural and urban communities,\u201d Ms Russell said.<\/p>\n
\u201c[Probus\u2019] purpose is to provide regular opportunities to maintain active minds, expand interests, to enjoy the fellowship of new friends, enhance mental and physical health, and wellbeing<\/p>\n
\u201cIt brings together people from all walks of life and provides activities and welfare support.<\/p>\n
