Podiatrist.<\/p>\n

What brought you to Ballarat?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was looking for a change of pace after being in Bendigo for six years. Twelve years ago a work opportunity came up in Ballarat and I gave it a go.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is your favourite spot in the city?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Botanical Gardens. I remember walking through them when I first moved to Ballarat, and fell in love with the statues, the Prime Minister\u2019s Walk, and the amazing trees.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is the best decision – ever?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wanting to be a father and marrying my wife Christine to create our family! They\u2019ve shown me so many wonders, and taught me so many things about love. It fills my heart every day.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What do you like to cook?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coming from an Italian background meals were always a meeting point for the family. I love cooking things which bring people together. I have a soft spot for feeding the hoards with pizza<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is the greatest love of your life – apart from friends and family?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love dance! I\u2019ve been a ballroom dancer for 10 years, and done social dancing as well. The feeling I get from being on the floor is addictive! It amazes me how some people can just float across a dancefloor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you could ask your pet one question, what would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhy do you constantly smell so bad?\u201d Willow, our nine-month-old cavalier has earned the name Stinky Head. The vet says she\u2019s as healthy as can be!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is your favourite holiday destination?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Florence, which I first visited many years ago. I have a keen interest in the Renaissance and the works of Dante Alighieri. These days, anywhere in the caravan with the family is my favourite place!<\/p>\n

What is your favourite quote?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAim for the moon, because even if you miss, you\u2019ll land amongst the stars.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What technological\/scientific development boggles your mind?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The concept of time and relativity. It\u2019s so simple yet so complex! I\u2019m a science nerd so I\u2019m often reading scientific articles<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What qualities do you admire in other people?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Authenticity and the courage to be yourself. Everyone is different, and to love oneself, and be confident in oneself, as difficult as that is, I find admirable. None of us is perfect, but we are all amazing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is the best parenting advice you could give?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Buy the onesies with the zips. You won\u2019t be able to do studs at 3 am when you haven\u2019t slept.<\/p>\n

And remember, people have been having babies for thousands of years in all sorts of conditions, so it\u2019s pretty hard to make too much of a mess of it<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What was your favourite toy?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lego. Every Saturday morning would be spent creating something for a couple of hours with cartoons on in the background, then I\u2019d spend all afternoon playing with what I had made<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is your all-time favourite book?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Great Divorce<\/em> by C. S. Lewis. It\u2019s so simple, but so profound. I read it during a challenging time in my life and it gave me considerable perspective. I get something new every time I read it<\/p>\n

What is your favourite smell?<\/strong><\/p>\n

That first espresso of the morning<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is something about you which is still the same as when you were a child?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I still can\u2019t kick a football with any accuracy or distance!<\/p>\n

What is your favourite place in the world and what makes it so special?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Home! I\u2019ve been a lot of places in my life; done and seen a lot; but coming home to my family, seeing what we have around us; what we\u2019ve worked for;\u00a0 and built up together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
