A NEW strategic direction has been announced for family support charity Eureka Mums.<\/p>\n
CEO Ruth Holdaway said the organisation has reviewed their Eureka, St Kilda, and Geelong Mums operations and conducted community consultation in creating their Vision for 2030.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom humble beginnings, the time has now come for us to expand our impact and make a lasting difference to the lives of children today and in the future across Victoria and beyond,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur new strategy focuses on children who need our help in the first 2000 days of life, so children up to the age of six. We\u2019ve set some ambitious goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy 2030, we will reach every Victorian child up to the age of six that needs our help, ensure there is far less waste going into landfill by upcycling, reusing and reducing waste, and start to share our service beyond Victoria.\u201d<\/p>\n
Eureka Mums launched a larger local warehouse in Sebastopol in 2021, however earlier this year Ms Holdaway announced that the facility would soon close.<\/p>\n
The city would not be getting a replacement, but would be serviced by warehouses in Melbourne and Geelong. This decision is unchanged.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019d like to reassure everyone again… we will continue to provide a service to all the children that need our help, and we will expand this service to reach more families in need,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
