THE Bannockburn Cultural Centre will be full of creativity next week, showcasing the recovering local arts scene.<\/p>\n
Rosslyn Bosnar said the arts \u201csuffered everywhere\u201d throughout the pandemic, so the Arts Emergence<\/em> community exhibition on Saturday, 23 April is one way to breathe life back into the creative practices of southern Shire artists.<\/p>\n \u201cThankfully we are now recovering, and artists everywhere are showing what was achieved during their lockdown journey, so we are celebrating with this one-day event.\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cTwelve talented local artists will be involved, demonstrating their many different techniques and styles of art, and answering questions. It\u2019s a kaleidoscope of southern plains.<\/p>\n \u201cMany different mediums will be on show including textiles, weaving, knitting, painting with acrylic and alcohol ink, and silk painting. It will be a great place to find that gift for a special person.\u201d<\/p>\n Participating artists alongside Bosnar include Cathy Boer, Louise Corral, Lindy Allinson, Lyn Steele, Jenny Taberner, Mayreni Khozouei, Sharryn Marriott, Mitchell Taylor, Sam Gilmore, Freda Duke, and Jan Hurlesone.<\/p>\n
