WESTERN Bulldogs free agent Caleb Daniel is closing in on a contract extension, according to AFL Media reporter Cal Twomey.<\/p>\n
Securing Daniel\u2019s signature has been a priority for the Bulldogs after the re-signing of star midfielder Jack Macrae in March.<\/p>\n
Twomey is reporting that Daniel\u2019s new deal could be \u201caround the four-year mark\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey re-signed free agent Jack Macrae at the start of the year to a five-year deal, Daniel\u2019s been one of their priorities since then and throughout that time,\u201d he told SEN Breakfast<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s getting pretty close to a new deal, it could be around the four-year mark.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019ve got a big year of re-signings the Dogs and Daniel is obviously a part of that, but they manage their cap really well and I think he\u2019ll be one of the next cabs off the rank.\u201d<\/p>\n
