GET your winter reading ready and support a good cause as the Inverleigh Book Bazaar returns on the last weekend in autumn.<\/p>\n
Coordinator Katrina Robson said the annual sale will offer old and new books of eclectic genres and raise funds to ensure the Inverleigh Public Hall is well-maintained for another 12 months.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year we have an incredible mix of books, and quite a few vintage books which people love, including special full collections of some authors\u2019 works,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also enjoy collecting children\u2019s books because we love to see children read, and we love to pass over a love of reading. A book can take you to anywhere.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome of our books start at 10 cents. Our volunteers get the most joy out of seeing a little one come in with $2 of their own money and buy lots of books because if they develop a love of reading then, they keep going.\u201d<\/p>\n
Each week, the Inverleigh Public Hall is a busy place hosting exercise classes, playgroups, senior citizens events, weddings, parties, and community functions.<\/p>\n
This year, the Bazaar funds will help the Hall\u2019s committee finish painting and install new gutters.<\/p>\n
The Inverleigh Book Bazaar will be held on Saturday, 28 and Sunday, 29 May at the Inverleigh Public Hall, from 9am to 4pm both days. Ms Robson will collect book donations up until the event.<\/p>\n
