{"id":81996,"date":"2022-05-18T04:30:39","date_gmt":"2022-05-17T17:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=81996"},"modified":"2022-05-13T09:24:21","modified_gmt":"2022-05-12T22:24:21","slug":"call-goes-out-for-new-wave-of-job-coaches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/living\/call-goes-out-for-new-wave-of-job-coaches\/","title":{"rendered":"Call goes out for new wave of job coaches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Asuria is seeking staff to help people find meaningful employment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a new employment services provider coming to town, aiming to transform the lives of people in Ballarat, and they\u2019re looking for readers of the <em>Ballarat Times<\/em> and <em>Golden Plains Times<\/em> to join them.<\/p>\n<p>Asuria has been helping people to reach their job and career goals for over 25 years, and from July, they\u2019re going to be bringing their expertise to job seekers in Ballarat.<\/p>\n<p>To make that happen, they\u2019re opening up their doors to people interested in taking up new roles as job coaches\/mentors, and support staff.<\/p>\n<p>Job applicants don\u2019t even need to have any experience in the employment services industry to be part of this new wave of first-class job coaches.<\/p>\n<p>What makes a successful Asuria job coach\/mentor is a combination of empathy, the ability to build relationships, a commitment to excellent customer service, and everyday office skills, with things like Microsoft Office, Word, or Excel.<\/p>\n<p>More than anything though, Asuria is looking for people with a passion for helping others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Asuria we\u2019re all a part of something which we call Enterprising Heart, which really sums up what it\u2019s like to be part of the company,\u201d said Cynthia Jennings, an Asuria community engagement officer.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to what being an Asuria job coach\/mentor, or community engagement officer, Ms Jennings said it\u2019s about getting to know each client and working with them to find meaningful and rewarding employment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way I help participants discover their dream roles is by really sitting down and getting to know them, building a rapport with them, and establishing trust and understanding,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>On what people in Ballarat can get out of a career with Asuria, Ms Jennings said it\u2019s also personally rewarding in so many ways.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou&#8217;ll know when you\u2019ve found your dream job, when you turn up every day wanting to put your best foot forward for the people you\u2019re there to help.
