With most Australian workers needing to reskill or upskill in the next five years, there has never been a better time to qualify as a trainer and assessor.<\/p>\n

The Gordon offers great flexibility for those looking to become an accredited teacher of their profession.<\/p>\n

With courses offered part-time over a six or 12-month period, online or face-to-face, and day and evening courses, you can select the type of learning that suits your lifestyle.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to put good people in the classroom and our vocational education sector needs experienced people to become trainers and assessors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe encourage anyone who is ready to step up into a teaching role to check out our TAE course.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur courses have been designed with flexible study options, knowing our students are still working in their own industries.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlong with an accommodating timetable, our students are always fully supported by a teacher who is with you for the duration of your course.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe course is filled with students from all walks of life who have years of experience in their own industry. Bringing all their stories and experiences to the table is a great way to learn together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jodie Carty, a diploma trained early childhood educator, was looking for more in her role and took the next step mid-career to complete her training and assessment certificate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith 20 years in early childhood education, I knew I wanted to remain in the industry and pass on my years of skills and knowledge to the next generation of educators,\u201d Ms Carty said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecoming a trainer was the perfect way for me to give back to my industry and fulfil my desire to continue to study.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, with the government estimate of over 30,000 new jobs in childcare in the next five years, that is a lot of people needing TAFE qualifications.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Gordon\u2019s TAE program consists of four hours of online study and one night a week in the classroom for 12 months.<\/p>\n

This allows students to continue working while completing their certificate. For Ms Carty, the versatile study options have been perfect, and she is now a qualified teacher in early childhood.<\/p>\n
