BUSINESSES across Golden Plains Shire are invited to connect with each other at two networking events hosted by the municipality.<\/p>\n
The first event will take place on Thursday, 23 June at the the Courthouse Hotel<\/span> in Smythesdale with the second slated for Wednesday, 29 June at Bannockburn\u2019s Clyde Park Vineyard and Bistro.<\/p>\n Golden Plains Shire mayor Cr Gavin Gamble said the events will be sure to benefit the region\u2019s businesses.<\/p>\n \u201cThe return of the business networking events marks an exciting milestone for the business community in Golden Plains,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cOur local businesses are key drivers of the local economy in Golden Plains, and we are proud to support all businesses in the Shire across a range of industries.<\/p>\n \u201cThe business networking events provide a wonderful opportunity for our many small and local businesses to connect with their peers to gain valuable business support and strengthen professional friendships.\u201d<\/p>\n Beginning at 5.30pm, the first event will see Golden Plains Shire\u2019s coordinator of economic development Peter Ridsdale providing tips on post-pandemic business recovery.<\/p>\n Attendees will also receive an overview on the municipal Economic Development, Tourism and Investment Attraction 2022-2032 Strategy and a summary on the latest business support initiatives.<\/p>\n The second event, starting at 12pm, will feature keynote speaker Rachael Robertson, who will discuss her experiences as the second woman to lead an Australian expedition through Antarctica.<\/p>\n She will also present organisation building techniques and discuss how companies can adapt to changing business climates.<\/p>\n The first event will cost $25 with the second at $60 with tickets available via goldenplains.vic.gov.au\/events.<\/p>\n For more information, contact Golden Plains Shire\u2019s economic development officer Helena Charles at 5220 7102 or via email at business@gplains.vic.gov.au.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" BUSINESSES across Golden Plains Shire are invited to connect with each other at two networking events hosted by the municipality.
