HARD rockers The Screaming Jets are celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of their debut album with a national tour stopping off in Golden Plains.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, 24 July the band will take to Bannockburn\u2019s Railway Hotel where they will play their 1991 album, All for One.<\/p>\n
Bannockburn will be the third show on the band\u2019s 26-date tour, and front man Dave Gleeson said he\u2019s keen to take the show to the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do love that whole area around Geelong, and rather than just doing the capital cities all the time, the Jets have always prided ourselves on playing anywhere anytime,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019ll be great to get out there and rock out, play the album in its entirety which we\u2019ve never done before, and just put the last few years in the rear view.\u201d<\/p>\n
All for One\u2019s 30th anniversary edition was released late last year and has reached #4 on the ARIA album charts.<\/p>\n
The re-recordings were tracked with original producer Steve James, and Gleeson said the songs maintain a balance of innovation while staying true to their original character.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome have been recorded exactly as they were and others have grown out of the live sphere after playing them for that many years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cC\u2019mon is one track that\u2019s changed a bit because we wanted to rock out to it a bit more. Shine On has been extended with a mad lead part. Stuff like that.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re natural changes we\u2019re keen to show Bannockburn. We haven\u2019t played some of the songs in 30 years so it\u2019s exciting to be transported back to our early 20s.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully our bodies can keep up.\u201d<\/p>\n
