FROM Kingston to Daylesford, lovers of all musical persuasions are in for a treat this Saturday, 27 August.<\/p>\n
Music on the Porch is a world-wide event reviving traditions of musicians gathering to sing, play and make music.<\/p>\n
From 12 noon, the Commercial Hotel at Kingston is hosting a diverse group of musicians including The Chocolate Barbarians, Creswick Chorus, Treble Clef, Beta Blocka, Small Town Gals, Hometown Folkies, Thursday Night Choir, and many much more. Refreshments will be available.<\/p>\n
If the mood calls for something a little more classical, a short drive to Daylesford\u2019s Christ Church on Central Springs Road you\u2019ll find Ballarat\u2019s string ensemble Klemantyne performing a range of pieces from Handel, Cimarosa, Sibelius, Holst to Kats-Chernin and Piazzolla.<\/p>\n
Klemantyne\u2019s founder Nicci Dellar brought together professional musicians and music teachers to form a string classical ensemble which has delighted audiences since its establishment in 2019.<\/p>\n
This performance by Klemantyne, which starts at 2.30 pm, is the first of five Christ Church concerts.<\/p>\n
