{"id":86172,"date":"2022-11-07T04:57:11","date_gmt":"2022-11-06T17:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=86172"},"modified":"2022-11-03T21:59:05","modified_gmt":"2022-11-03T10:59:05","slug":"female-leaders-to-the-front","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/female-leaders-to-the-front\/","title":{"rendered":"Female leaders to the front"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A NEW Young Women\u2019s Leadership Program is set to be established in the Shire, and you could take part.<\/p>\n<p>Council officers are seeking women between the ages of 17 and 25 to co-design and shape the initiative, set to simply be called LEAD.<\/p>\n<p>Two unique programs will be created to cater to peoples\u2019 interests and needs; one to be delivered to girls aged 14 to 16, and another for young women between 17 and 25.<\/p>\n<p>The aim will be to assist young women to live their best healthy, happy life, and to strive for their goals with confidence and a strong sense of self-esteem.<\/p>\n<p>Women between 17 and 25 are invited to complete a survey to share their ideas for LEAD. This information will influence the development of the program, its content, and who might deliver it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope to hear from many interested young women with this engagement and look forward to working with them to design an exciting program that meets their needs and expectations,\u201d Golden Plains Shire mayor Cr Gavin Gamble said.<\/p>\n<p>The survey is open at <strong>goldenplains.vic.gov.au\/consultations <\/strong>until 5pm on Monday, 21 November.<\/p>\n<p>Print copies can be picked up at Golden Plains Civic Centre, 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn or The Well, 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale.<\/p>\n<p>Contact 5220 7111 or <strong>youth@gplains.vic.gov.au<\/strong> for more information.
