It\u2019s the first book in a duology, which is a family saga,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been inspired by a couple of shows I\u2019ve watched; <em>Dopesick<\/em> and <em>The Earthing Movie<\/em>, and have brought those concepts together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about a society that gets fed lies by some big organisations and ends up rather prejudiced. It\u2019s also about a dysfunctional family and their role in it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three diverse locations in the story are based on parts of Geelong; Norlane, the waterfront CBD, and Torquay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are contrasting social differences and lifestyles in <em>The Silver Sheep<\/em>, from lives of poverty, to lives of wealth,\u201d Betts said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything I write has meaning.
