CENTRAL Highlands Water has released their Annual Water Outlook for 2022 to 2023.<\/p>\n
The document outlines the region\u2019s supply of water, and the levels expected for the next 12 months.<\/p>\n
CHW managing director Jeff Haydon said water storage levels are looking positive as the weather warms but encourages the community to continue to be mindful about how much they are using.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter a wet winter and spring, our reservoirs are near capacity and ground water levels are normal, putting our water resources in a very good position for the summer months,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe likelihood of water restrictions over the next 12 months is very low across all supply systems. Our community understands that water is a precious and limited resource and we thank everyone in our region for continuing to be water wise.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we come into the summer period, it\u2019s a great time to refer back to our permanent water saving rules, and check that we\u2019re doing the right thing and saving water where we can.<\/p>\n
\u201cA secure, safe and reliable water supply is essential to keep the community thriving and we again expect to meet community water supply demand from our local storages this year.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Annual Water Outlook report covers the region\u2019s 15 water supply systems, current levels, inflows expected, and groundwater levels.<\/p>\n
It considers upcoming weather, with help from the Bureau of Meteorology, and where levels may sit after customers\u2019 summer use.<\/p>\n
Lal Lal, Gong Gong and Moorabool reservoirs have recently been spilling, and Wombat, Bullarto and Hepburn reservoirs are full.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
