THERE\u2019S lots programmed to keep children busy these school holidays at Bannockburn Library.<\/p>\n
From Thursday, 5 January, kids of all ages are invited to take part in a range of creative and fun activities and games.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Bannockburn Library is a wonderful place to spend some time during school holidays, especially during the summer break,\u201d Bannockburn Library coordinator Leanne Reinke said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have art and craft activities catering for a wide range of ages, a permanent colouring station for children and parents alike, as well as dress-ups and reading spaces.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur special attraction is our large outdoor courtyard with outdoor games like mini-golf and giant chess as well as some special family challenge events.<\/p>\n
\u201cBring along a picnic or snack and a hat and meet others for some fun outdoors. \u00a0Everyone is welcome, and becoming a member is free.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Bannockburn library has a variety of summer skills programs running these school holidays. You will find sessions for children as well as older teens over 15, and family activities for all ages.\u201d<\/p>\n
Children aged five and over can take part in fluffy pom-pom creature-making workshops, while those of all ages, and their families, are invited to four outdoor games days scheduled.<\/p>\n
These will take place in the courtyard, with mini golf, giant Jenga and chess, Connect 4, quoits, tug of war, and elastics set up.<\/p>\n
Kids aged eight and over can take part in a summer sewing session and learn the basics of sewing with a needle and thread, while those 15 and over can be part of the production of a zine.<\/p>\n
