WATER authority Goulburn-Murray Water is inviting visitors to its lakes, reservoirs, dams and other waterways to give their feedback on the resource manager\u2019s recreational capabilities.<\/p>\n
People can have their say via an online survey which gauges things like the participant\u2019s use of GMW\u2019s water resources and general satisfaction with their offerings.<\/p>\n
A similar survey was conducted last year which brought in more than 350 responses and GMW\u2019s general manager of water storage services Martina Cusack said the organisation is looking to take it even further.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe received some really valuable feedback from our last survey in terms of service and amenity provision and we want to expand on that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany of our lakes, dams and reservoirs have fantastic recreation infrastructure like parks, barbecues, boat ramps and all-ability facilities that make an ideal place for visitors.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo ensure our storages continue to be a great place to visit now and into the future, we encourage our recreation users to have their say.\u201d<\/p>\n
Called the recreational user survey, the 10-question poll is open until Thursday, 23 February with a general aim of understanding what is important to GMW\u2019s waterway visitors.<\/p>\n
Other questions centre around factors like the participant\u2019s age, residence, which waterways they visit, what facilities are used, what activities they take part in and how often they visit their chosen waterways.<\/p>\n
A summary of key themes and findings will be released on GMW\u2019s website following the survey\u2019s closure.<\/p>\n
GMW manages more than 20 water storages of which 16 allow for boating access.<\/p>\n
Their storages include Lake Eildon, Lake Eppalock, Hepburns Lagoon and Dartmouth Dam.<\/p>\n
Other recent GMW surveys included a customer satisfaction survey held every two years, which was projected to include 800 phone calls and 400 online surveys before the end of October.<\/p>\n
