Members of Buninyong Sustainability are inviting the community to attend their 2023 Smart Living Expo, and director Andrea Mason said they\u2019re encouraging everyone to \u201cbe part of the solution.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s all about focusing on living a healthy lifestyle, with a healthy home,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year, people are starting to feel the effects of climate change, and starting to feel cost pressures from rising energy prices and impacts on their general living.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re hoping people will come along to the expo because it\u2019s a good place to start, get leads and suggestions about how to make changes.\u201d<\/p>\n
More than 40 groups in the environment and sustainability sector will be in attendance with the aim supporting attendees wanting to live a greener life, including Ballarat Renewable Energy and Zero Emissions.<\/p>\n
Other stallholders will include the Repair Cafe, electric vehicle and e-bike experts, an environmental property assessor, a power retailer, a chook shed maker, Landcare and \u2018friends of\u2019 groups, Green Earth Kids, Buninyong Primary School with their solar boats and energy breakthrough projects, and Midland Irrigation.<\/p>\n
With a greater focus on an overall healthy lifestyle this year, the expo will also include stallholders like a Pilates instructor, alongside kid\u2019s activities, and food and coffee vendors.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s going to be something for everyone,\u201d Ms Mason said. \u201cWe\u2019re also going to have live music in the park.\u201d<\/p>\n
The annual event has been renamed from the Smart Building and Living Expo as Ms Mason said it can be difficult to find builders and architects that are available.<\/p>\n
There will be, however, some building products and insulation ideas on site.<\/p>\n
The 2023 Smart Living Expo will be held on Sunday, 26 February at Royal Park, Buninyong.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
