BETWEEN Daylesford and Ballarat lies the small town of Creswick, nestled in the confluence of three creeks, surrounded by historic goldfields and native forests.<\/p>\n
It is now becoming synonymous as the venue for the most exciting folk and roots music festival in country Victoria.<\/p>\n
CresFest only entered the festival scene in 2022, and one year on has expanded to showcasing over 300 artists with an exceptional line up of international, national and local musicians and dancers.<\/p>\n
Also on the bill are renowned visual, written and spoken word artists, all who will perform, teach and engage from Friday, 31 March through to Sunday, 2 April.<\/p>\n
And this year, if you can\u2019t make it to the whole festival, day tickets have now been released to enable visitors to see their favourite performers.<\/p>\n
This year the Creswick Woollen Mill has come on board as a venue for a number of free musical events, as well as sponsoring the bus to take attendees from one venue to another. It\u2019s this level of support, including volunteers and people hosting musicians, that makes CresFest possible.<\/p>\n
Judy Turner, CresFest director said that the program of artists, workshops, Courthouse Conversations, Latin-themed street parade, festival market, kids\u2019 activities and free events means there\u2019s something for everyone to make the short train, bus or car ride over from the Daylesford and Ballarat communities to visit Creswick.<\/p>\n
