WITH only one more sleep until Inverleigh\u2019s Good Friday family fun day, excitement is building for organisers.<\/p>\n
The event will see a range of fun activities and entertainment for all ages.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of work to do but we will get it all done by Friday morning,\u201d said organiser Jay Cook.<\/p>\n
There will be all day carnival rides, classic cars, food vans and market stalls as well as an easter egg hunt and an appearance from the animal of the moment, the easter bunny!<\/p>\n
\u201cThe easter egg hunt is definitely a big highlight and a new item we have this year is the Inverleigh CWA teddy bear hospital which I\u2019m really looking forward to seeing,\u201d said Mr Cook.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the CWA have done a brilliant job putting it together and I think it\u2019s going to be brilliant, so I really want to see all the kids in there having a lot of fun with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Other highlights include KF dance at 10.30am, the Mik Maks at 11am and Wildlife Xposure\u2019s animal show at 2pm.<\/p>\n
Mr Cook said families will get their money\u2019s worth.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s value for money because its free parking and doesn\u2019t cost you anything to get in,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cRides are very affordable and there\u2019s a lot of free things on like the Mik Mak\u2019s and Wildlife Xposure and the easter egg hunt is only $5.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ride wrist bands are only $30 and give unlimited rides all day. There\u2019s things on all day from start to finish so the kids will not get bored.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople make it a day on their calendars that they look forward to every year to have a lot of fun and they know 100 per cent of the profits go towards the Good Friday Appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Cook said he is looking forward to seeing the hard work of volunteers come to life.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve never had so much on, I think this is the busiest day we\u2019ve ever had so I\u2019m very excited,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s 12 of us that put this day on, and we work really hard.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re unpaid volunteers and you\u2019ve also got all the community groups who are unpaid volunteers who give their time and all the generous companies as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is just a massive amount of people all contributing little bits and pieces which make the day so fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n
