FACES in fitness are changing in Bannockburn.<\/p>\n
The Burnfit247 gym on High Street will now be run by Habitual Health\u2019s Anna Furniss, who has been training her clients on site for a year-and-a-half.<\/p>\n
She said her aim is to support more people to improve their health and fitness.<\/p>\n
\u201cI work with so many people over 40 who start out thinking they can\u2019t exercise for whatever reason,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen they realise that not only can they do the work, but that they are getting results.<\/p>\n
“It is not always weight loss. Many of my clients come to me frustrated by constant pain, lack of energy and fear that exercising especially going to the gym is just simply too hard.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow they are exercising consistently, enjoying it and doing things they never thought they would do again, they are getting their life back.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Furniss said she recognises Burnfit247 has had a relaxed community feel under the leadership of outgoing business owner of 15 years Bronwyn Davie, and she doesn\u2019t want that atmosphere to shift.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am here to support you all on your journeys, and help you overcome those hurdles life throws up, because it\u2019s not what happens to you that matters, it’s how you react to it that makes the difference,\u201d Ms Furniss said<\/p>\n
Also the president of Bannockburn and District Chamber of Commerce, and a marriage and funeral celebrant, Ms Davie said she\u2019s sad to say goodbye to her clients, many of which have become friends, but new challenges are on the horizon.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been a wild ride but it is time for a change, and I am so excited that someone who is as passionate about helping our community as much I am, is taking over,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI plan on having a few months of R-and-R with my hubby, then will be back with some new ideas for 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n
