For the third year, those behind the digital feedback platform are running the Ballarat\u2019s Best Ideas competition with the new theme of \u2018people and planet.\u2019<\/p>\n
Suggest it co-founders Ben Wearne and Nick Clare said they\u2019re aiming to crowdsource hundreds of positive and constructive suggestions for businesses and organisations across the city from idea-giving \u201cGurus.\u201d<\/p>\n
They would like the concepts to have a focus on the environment, supporting enterprises\u2019 staff and customers, and improving the wider community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe that every person in Ballarat has a great idea to help a local business or organisation, which can have an impact on the wider community too,\u201d Mr Wearne said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Ballarat\u2019s Best Ideas competition and the Suggest it platform gives people an easy and private way to share them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Clare and Mr Wearne encourage everyone, particularly young people, to have their say and share their visions to lift others and their brands up.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Suggest it platform has played a crucial role in not only generating fresh and innovative ideas but also in promoting cooperation between businesses and the community.\u201d Mr Clare said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe team is thrilled to be directing their efforts towards making a meaningful impact on people and the planet and is eagerly anticipating the ideas that will come to fruition in 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n
For the third year, the City of Ballarat is partnering with Suggest it in delivering the initiative.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeeing so many great suggestions submitted to Suggest it in Ballarat\u2019s Best Ideas last year focused on helping people and our environment was inspiring,\u201d City of Ballarat mayor Cr Des Hudson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI urge the community to put forward their best ideas that relate to people and planet, no matter how big or small, for a local business or organisation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ballarat\u2019s Best Ideas is officially launching today at Backyard Beekeeping Ballarat and will run for three weeks, until Friday, 19 May.<\/p>\n
Successful suggestions will be identified by a judging panel of City, Federation University, Crazy Ideas College and industry representatives, and those behind them could win an Apple Watch, Trek bike, or Eco Escape voucher.<\/p>\n
Alongside support from project partners, the businesses set to benefit from these ideas will be awarded $500 to bring the vision to life.<\/p>\n
