MONEY for major projects within Golden Plains Shire were few and far between in Tuesday\u2019s State budget.<\/p>\n
With the State Government placing a focus on funding 2022 election commitments, the only major funding announcements related to pledges.<\/p>\n
A planned Hindu Temple in Ross Creek will receive $900,000 while the Teesdale Recreation Reserve is inline for $1.5 million worth of upgrades.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegional Victorians enjoy spending time outdoors with their family and friends, which is why we are upgrading key community sport and recreation projects so they can continue doing what they love most,\u201d said Member for Eureka, Michaela Settle.<\/p>\n
Member for Ripon, Martha Haylett said State Government\u2019s 2023\/24 fiscal plan delivered on promises made to the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith this budget, we\u2019re doing what matters for the people of Ripon, and we\u2019re delivering on every election promise we made to them,\u201d said Member for Ripon, Martha Haylett.<\/p>\n
The region could also benefit from a range of statewide funding measures targeting health, early childhood, education, the arts, LGBTIQ+ communities, and public transport.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are doing what matters for Geelong. Whether it\u2019s cheaper V\/Line fares, giving families access to free kinder or improving local schools, we are delivering for all Victorians,\u201d said Member for Geelong, Christine Couzens.<\/p>\n
