THE headline acts for this year\u2019s Spilt Milk have been released and there\u2019s some big names on the list.<\/p>\n
US rapper Post Malone has top billing for the Ballarat stop of the touring music festival that\u2019s set for Saturday 2 December in Victoria Park.<\/p>\n
Other key names include Australian house DJ and producer Dom Dolla, rappers Latto and Aitch, and Aussie acts Cub Sport, Lastings, Tkay Maidza, Ocean Alley, and Peach PRC.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs summer gets closer, be ready for a festival tour like no other as Spilt Milk continues its legacy of curating lineups that defy expectations,\u201d a statement from event organisers said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith a string of visual creators and highly sought-after food vendors, Spilt Milk is more than a festival, it\u2019s an experience.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the only touring festival in Australia to sell out in 2022 and with a monumental lineup for 2023, tickets will be more in-demand than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
Also currently on the bill are Budjerah, Chris Lake, David Kushner, Dermot Kennedy, Djanaba, grentperez, Jessie Murph, Lime Cordiale, May-A, Mincy, Pacific Avenue, Partiboi69, Poolclvb, Redhook, Royel Otis, The Buoys, The Dreggs and Tia Gostelow.<\/p>\n
Along with the big name international and Australian acts, Spilt Milk also has a history of supporting local and up and coming performers, and that set to carry on this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpilt Milk will continue to spotlight Australia’s finest emerging stars, sparking the local music scene with unparalleled brilliance,\u201d organisers said.<\/p>\n
This year will be the third time Spilt Milk has rolled into town, following events in 2019 and 2022.<\/p>\n
According to City of Ballarat data 32,000 people went to last year\u2019s Ballarat one-day even and they added about $5 million to the local economy.<\/p>\n
Mayor Cr Des Hudson welcomed the return of the music festival.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpilt Milk absolutely transformed Ballarat last year, I think everybody will remember how busy the city was for that particular weekend,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing able to attract events that draw in tens of thousands of people shows we are a destination city and it\u2019s fantastic to see the confidence these major events have to keep coming back to Ballarat.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpilt Milk thrived in the face of enormous difficulty in terms of the pandemic and record rainfall leading up to the event last year and I\u2019m confident the 2023 edition will be even better.\u201d<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s Spilt Milk tour has four stops and along with Ballarat, Canberra, the Gold Coast and Perth will host legs of the event.<\/p>\n
