WITH impending electronic icons Kraftwerk announced in July as the leading act in this year\u2019s Meredith Music Festival, the remainder of the bill has been announced.<\/p>\n
Set to take place for the 31st time at Meredith\u2019s Supernatural Amphitheatre, the full lineup will include 27 artists in addition to the German electronic pioneers.<\/p>\n
A statement from organiser Aunty Meredith said this year\u2019s festival will present a vast and varied bill.<\/p>\n
\u201cCustom-cut to fit the evolving atmospherics of The Sup\u2019. The centre is everywhere,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom deep discovery to elementary enjoyment. Subterranean treasures to searing virtuosos, from sunlit essentials to late nite blasts. Never-thought-it-would-happens amidst hometown heroes. A bellow of resonant revelations.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll on a single stage, so you miss nothing unless you choose to. Magic O\u2019Clock will strike, sometimes scheduled, often unsuspected.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meredith Music Festival will run for three days from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 December.<\/p>\n
A majority of tickets to the event were made available via a subscriber\u2019s ballot, the first round of which closed earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Following the second ballot round, tickets to the general public will go on sale this Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Aside from the headlining European act, other international artists include U.S. performer Caroline Polachek as well as Canadian indie pop band Alvvays and British stoner metalheads Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs.<\/p>\n
Ballarat-based acts such as Meninyan, formed last year, as well as the City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band will also perform as well as Melbourne groups Telenova and Floodlights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
