{"id":93539,"date":"2023-09-23T04:56:46","date_gmt":"2023-09-22T18:56:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=93539"},"modified":"2023-09-22T19:24:04","modified_gmt":"2023-09-22T09:24:04","slug":"sports-zone-springing-into-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/sports-zone-springing-into-action\/","title":{"rendered":"Sports zone springing into action"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAKE your marks and get set for playful family fun as this year\u2019s SpringFest sports zone will be packed with activities.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsored by Barry Plant Real Estate, the zone will be in the North Gardens and have something on offer for sports-lovers to try and enjoy as part of the market Sunday event.<\/p>\n<p>Inside will be a Western Bulldogs entertainment area with football inflatables, arts and crafts activities, and giveaways, as well the Ballarat Basketball hoop trailer, and Western Victoria Football Academy interactive space.<\/p>\n<p>Ballarat Rugby Club members will offer children the chance to give that sport a go, and Special Olympics Ballarat volunteers will be on hand to showcase the unifying and inclusive power of sport.<\/p>\n<p>Barry Plant staff, including CEO Shane Finch, are set to man their own stall, offering facepainting, massages, and showbags.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love Ballarat, we love the community events that bring people together here, and we love being a part of it all,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is our community, and it\u2019s the reason why we live here, so it matters to us to support the people that make it great.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe encourage lots of kids to come along and get active.
