THE coordinators behind the Bannockburn Community Planning Group are seeking the input of residents to shape the town\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
If you have a vision for an initiative or infrastructure you\u2019d like to see in the area in coming years, it could be considered as part of the 2024 to 2027 plan, which is being driven by a grassroots organisation of local people.<\/p>\n
Community coordinator Stuart McCallum said he\u2019s keen to support his neighbours to share their thoughts.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s easy to be critical of council but harder to step up and have a say,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cCouncil is supporting us to re-form a representative group that can offer suggestions that we can see implemented to improve our environmental, social, and economic health.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor this we need people from a range of ages and interests that can reflect our growing community.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully you will have ideas for projects that we could adopt, but these things can\u2019t happen unless you step up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Visit bit.ly\/45LGAUB to complete the survey before Sunday 26 November at 5pm, which takes between five and seven minutes to fill in.<\/p>\n
Community coordinators are also going to be at Golden Plains Farmers Market tomorrow at 22 Byron Street, Bannockburn.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will have a stall on Saturday 4 November where you can ask questions and fill in a survey form, or you can fill in a survey online by scanning a QR code,\u201d Mr McCallum said.<\/p>\n
