THE man of the moment, Santa Claus, will be making a special appearance at Kryal Castle this weekend.<\/p>\n
For the first time, the grounds are set to adorned with decorations and lights with carols playing to get visitors in the festive spirit.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a dream of ours to have a Christmas event,\u201d said Kryal Castle CEO Bart Hamilton.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to bring some Christmas fun and give some extra enjoyment to people who are coming before Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n
Attendees will have the chance to chat with Santa and a photographer will be on site to take pictures.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got a Christmas market, reindeers who will be there and photos with the elves and Santa,\u201d said Mr Hamilton.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe weather looks like it\u2019s going to be great so I think people will be out and about.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following this year\u2019s event, Mr Hamilton has plans for an even bigger one in 2024 themed around 12 days of Christmas.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to do a full 12 days leading up to Christmas where we turn the castle into a Christmas wonderland,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think there\u2019s a gap in the market in Ballarat for that traditional Christmas experience which we\u2019d like to fill.\u201d<\/p>\n
