SCHOOL holiday fun is set to be on offer in the Golden Plains Shire this January with a range of free activities.<\/p>\n
The program kicks off on Tuesday 9 January and runs until Thursday 25 January and is open to young people aged 12 to 25.<\/p>\n
The activities have been designed to meet the needs and interests of that age group as well as to provide opportunities to learn new skills.<\/p>\n
Some activities on offer will be cupcake decorating, tenpin bowling, board games, paint by numbers and Mario Kart.<\/p>\n
Events will take place in a range of locations in and around the Shire including Smythesdale, Bannockburn, Ballarat, Geelong and Little River.<\/p>\n
Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham encouraged young people to come along and enjoy the summer holidays.<\/p>\n
\u201cCouncil\u2019s free school holiday program is a great opportunity for young people to mix with their peers while enjoying a range of fun and exciting activities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll programs are safe and inclusive and supervised by staff from the youth development team, so we encourage you to check out what\u2019s on offer and register through Council\u2019s website.\u201d<\/p>\n
