GENKIFIT at Smythesdale has recently launched a Pilates program after the success of free trials held last year.<\/p>\n
Last week more than 30 people came along to two sessions and certified Pilates instructor Jaymee Ellis said this was a huge turnout for the small town.<\/p>\n
“We are overwhelmed and grateful for the tremendous support we received from the Smythesdale community,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo see over 30 people attending our Pilates sessions is a testament to the dedication of our community towards health and well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n
The aim of GenkiFIT is to help the community take part in mindful movement and to promote physical and mental health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n
The organisation has been involved in the Smythesdale community for 13 years running a range of fitness programs and creating a sense of community.<\/p>\n
The Pilates classes are suitable for all fitness levels and have a focus on developing core strength, flexibility, and body awareness.<\/p>\n
“We believe in creating a positive and inclusive fitness environment for everyone,\u201d said Ms Ellis.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe remarkable turnout to our Pilates classes is inspiring, and we look forward to continuing to serve the community with fun, affordable and accessible fitness classes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pilates classes take place at the Woady Yaloak Recreation Facility at Smythesdale at 5.45pm and 6.30pm Mondays.<\/p>\n
