WOMEN across the Golden Plains Shire will be able to access a free mammogram as part of a municipal partnership with BreastScreen Victoria.<\/p>\n
Attendees between the ages of 40 and 74, who are due for a mammogram, will be able to take a bus to the Ballarat\u00a0Breast<\/span>Screen clinic and each have an appointment with a\u00a0female\u00a0radiologist.<\/p>\n \u201cThe annual health program [helps] local women overcome the transport and cost barriers to having regular breast screens,\u201d a statement from the Golden Plains Shire said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe encourage eligible women to register to take part in this important program, which is a free health initiative designed to support community health and wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n
