ANOTHER spirited basketballer has joined the Ballarat Miners Women for the 2024 Mitsubishi NBL1 South Season.<\/p>\n
Wisconsin import and guard Mehryn Kraker is coming from WNBL side Bendigo Spirit, and will remain under the leadership of coach Kennedy Kereama.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m excited for a new challenge in the NBL1 South which is a really competitive and challenging league,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to joining the Miners and an added bonus in getting to play with some of my current teammates and for Kennedy again.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the Spirit, per game Kraker averaged 12.2 points, 3.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds, and she has had previous playing experience in the NBL1 West league with Rockingham Flames.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s also played in the WNBA with the Washington Mystics and represented Cadi La Seu in Spain\u2019s top league.<\/p>\n
Kereama said having Kraker on board is a thrill.<\/p>\n
