RESIDENTS from Linton and around the Shire are gathering at the Linton Community Hub to share a love of art.<\/p>\n
The Linton Goldbrush Painters gather every Friday from 10am and they are inviting more members of the community to join the initiative.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is for whoever wants to come, it doesn\u2019t matter your skill level,\u201d said group member Bev Harris.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got beginners to semi-professionals and it\u2019s any medium with whatever you want to use.\u201d<\/p>\n
Participants must bring their own supplies and the class does not involve specific teaching but is about enjoying painting no matter the skill level.<\/p>\n
For people who may be getting started, group members are happy to advise on what materials to bring.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not a teaching class, but for people to come and enjoy a bit of social interaction,\u201d said Harris.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlthough if anyone wants help, they can ask and there are people there who can help.\u201d<\/p>\n
Harris said the aim of the initiative is to bring the community together.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you live out in a rural town, it\u2019s really a place to get together,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
