{"id":96867,"date":"2024-03-12T04:57:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-11T17:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=96867"},"modified":"2024-03-12T04:57:00","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T17:57:00","slug":"nollsie-to-bring-nostalgic-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/nollsie-to-bring-nostalgic-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Nollsie to bring nostalgic show"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><p>THE voice behind Australia\u2019s biggest-selling single of 2004 is coming to Ballarat next month. <\/p>\n<p><p>Celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, <EM>That\u2019s What I\u2019m Talking About<\/EM>, Shannon Noll is set to hit the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts to play much of the album. <\/p>\n<p><p>He said the show will be a trip down memory lane for many. <\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cIt\u2019s been about 15 years since we\u2019ve played a lot of the tracks off this album so I\u2019m looking forward to having some nostalgia moments and thinking back to the very beginning of the journey,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cIt\u2019s funny to dive back into these songs and realise it\u2019s not gonna take a lot to get that muscle memory kicking back in.<\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cWith the music and lyrics, it brings back a lot of great memories as well.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><p>The tour will coincide with the release of a 20th anniversary edition of <EM>That\u2019s What I\u2019m Talking About<\/EM> set to hit shelves Friday 5 April. <\/p>\n<p><p>The release features two new songs including a duet with Cosima De Vito called <EM>Don\u2019t You Wanna Stay<\/EM>, and <EM>No Time<\/EM> which marks Noll\u2019s collaborative reunion with <EM>What About Me<\/EM> songwriter Gary Frost.<\/p>\n<p><p>Noll said the setlist will be an encapsulation of his recording career.<\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cWe\u2019ll do a bunch of songs off the first album itself in the first half of the show,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cAfter the initial revisiting of that, we\u2019ll pick out some of the bigger songs over the time being after that.
