CLUBBERCISE, a new fitness class which combines dancing, disco lighting and glow sticks is coming to Smythesdale.<\/p>\n
The community is invited to try the form of exercise for free on Thursday 18 April from 6.30pm at the Woady Yaloak Recreation Facility.<\/p>\n
The class will be run by Jaymee Ellis, owner of GenkiFIT, with uplifting club tunes such as those by David Guetta or Rudimental to be played.<\/p>\n
Ms Ellis said the Clubbercise is a great, fun way to keep fit.<\/p>\n
“I love finding new ways to help people keep fit, it’s something I’m passionate about,” she said.<\/p>\n
“The routines are easy-to-follow which means you can really let go and enjoy the music.<\/p>\n
“Plus, the classes appeal to a wide range of people because they’re so much fun it doesn’t feel like a workout.”<\/p>\n
Following the free come and try session, regular classes will be held from Thursday 9 May.<\/p>\n
Each class will cost $7 and include glow sticks.<\/p>\n
“It’s GenkiFIT’s mission to deliver affordable and accessible fitness classes in regional areas where people are less likely to have a lot of opportunities to get fitter in a group setting,” said Ms Ellis.<\/p>\n
“In May, I’ll be running an eight-week fitness challenge, and these Clubbercise classes will be a part of that offering.”<\/p>\n
