THE growing number of Children in Lethbridge have a fresh place to play into the future.<\/p>\n

A new playground has been installed at Lethbridge Recreation Reserve with a few slides, swings and seesaws, and climbing equipment.<\/p>\n

New seats have been installed, and path and landscaping works have been undertaken aiming to make the area more pleasant, comfortable and accessible for families.<\/p>\n

The Lethbridge Play Space was officially opened last week by the Member for Eureka Michaela Settle on behalf of the Minister for Regional Development Gayle Tierney.<\/p>\n

Regional Development Victoria funding worth $200,000 covered the project which saw the employment of almost 30 construction workers.<\/p>\n

Golden Plains Shire mayor, Cr Brett Cunningham and Member for Eureka, Michaela Settle waved in the play space’s new era.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Young people deserve somewhere they can play with their friends,” Ms Settle said.<\/p>\n

“It’s fantastic that this play space is ready to welcome kids from across the community, and while I don’t think you’ll see me going down the slide anytime soon, I know the kids are going to have a blast.”<\/p>\n

Lethbridge’s population is expected to grow in the coming years, as the trend of city families moving to the country continues.<\/p>\n

Lethbridge Recreation Reserve is a short walk from the local primary school, the Lethbridge Lake, and general store.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
