EXPRESSIONS of interest are now open for young musicians who would like to take part in Golden Plains Youth Battle of the Bands.<\/p>\n
The event will be held Saturday 24 August 6.30pm to 9.30pm at the Inverleigh Public Hall.<\/p>\n
The competition is open to young people aged 12 to 25 and aims to showcase up and coming artists of all genres.<\/p>\n
Bands, soloists, duo performances and digital artists are all welcome.<\/p>\n
The event is presented by FReeZA Youth Events Crew with support from Golden Plains Shire council’s Youth Development Team and is designed to create a safe and welcoming environment for artists.<\/p>\n
Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham encouraged young people to take part in the competition.<\/p>\n
“I am thrilled that Battle of the Bands is returning in 2024 after a successful event last year where we witnessed the incredible talents of the young musicians in our Shire,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I encourage young people aged 12 to 25 to express their interest in taking centre stage at the event and showcasing their musical talents in front of a live audience.”<\/p>\n
Expressions of interest are open until Monday 15 July and submissions can be made on the Golden Plains Shire website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
