OVER the coming months, residents in Golden Plains Shire may be contacted to take part in the Victorian Government’s annual Community Satisfaction Survey for local councils.<\/p>\n

Each year the Victorian Government undertakes the survey which aims to measure the community’s perception of council’s performance over the last year.<\/p>\n

“Participating in the survey is crucial for Golden Plains Shire Council as it aligns with the State Government’s performance measures,” said mayor Cr Brett Cunningham.<\/p>\n

“Most councils in Victoria participate in this survey, and if we do not use the common one, we are required to undertake some type of community satisfaction survey.”<\/p>\n

Within three-month blocks, beginning this July, 100 residents will be called by independent market research agency, National Field Services.<\/p>\n

Details and individual responses are kept confidential.<\/p>\n

Cr Cunningham said grassroots responses from residents are essential to understanding community perceptions.<\/p>\n

“It helps us gauge community sentiment and identify priority service areas, ensuring that we align our efforts with the needs and expectations of our residents,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Community participation is essential as the survey’s sample size of 400 residents over a year (100 residents surveyed four times a year) ensures statistical relevance.<\/p>\n

“This allows us to draw accurate conclusions and make informed decisions based on representative feedback.”<\/p>\n
