GOLDEN Plains Shire council staff are looking for feedback from the community about the Northern Streetscapes Framework Plan.<\/p>\n
The plan will inform concept designs for the Northern Streetscape project.<\/p>\n
The framework plan was developed following community consultation in 2021 and provides a guide for beautification works in the town centres of Smythesdale, Scarsdale and Linton.<\/p>\n
Further consultation will now begin to see if the framework plan aligns with current needs of the community or if adjustments are needed.<\/p>\n
A series of listening posts will be held on Thursday 12 September where residents can provide feedback.<\/p>\n
The first will be held from 12pm until 1.30pm out the front of Thru the Gate in Smythesdale, then a session will be held from 2.30pm until 4pm outside Scarsdale General Store, and the final listening post will be held from 4.20pm until 6pm out the front of Linton service station and post office.<\/p>\n
An online survey will also be available on the Golden Plains Shire website.<\/p>\n
“It’s been a few years since we consulted with northern residents on the Northern Streetscapes project, and we want to make sure the framework plan is still relevant to the community before we move forward with the development of detailed concept designs,” said mayor Cr Brett Cunningham.<\/p>\n
“The Listening Posts provide an excellent chance for residents to review the framework plan and share your thoughts on whether it aligns with the aspirations of your community.<\/p>\n
“I encourage northern residents to attend one of the sessions and be actively involved in this process.”<\/p>\n
The project is funded by $650,000 from Golden Plains Shire and $650,000 from Berrybank Wind Farm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
