The ballot for this year’s Meredith Music Festival opened in mid-July, before the line-up’s announcement, with the first round available for existing subscribers and the second round opening sales up to new ones.<\/p>\n
Organisers encouraged those looking to grab a resale ticket to do so via official channels.<\/p>\n
“Aunty’s ticket resale service is the only authorised ticket resale facility,” the statement continued.<\/p>\n
“Meredith is subject to a major event ticketing declaration under Part 9A of the Major Events Act 2009.<\/p>\n
“This means it is an offence to sell, advertise or offer to resell a ticket for more than 10 per cent above its face value purchase price.”<\/p>\n
Announced earlier this month, the lineup is boasting 30 acts with Jamie xx, Waxahatchee, and Genesis Owusu topping the bill of both Australian and international players.<\/p>\n
Organisers encouraged festivalgoers to subscribe to the Golden Plains Festival mailing list to keep up to date on when the ballot for that event will open.<\/p>\n
