The award recognises residents who compete in a state level or above competition.<\/p>\n
“It was good for the club because it will put the club on the map,” said team member Ange Fatone.<\/p>\n
“People will know we are out here playing and looking after the old fellas.”<\/p>\n
Four new members have joined the group this year and the team are open to more new players.<\/p>\n

Devlin said it is important to have opportunities for men to get out of the house and socialise through initiatives like masters football.<\/p>\n
“The demographic that’s involved with the club is probably the most at risk,” he said.<\/p>\n
