I&#8217;ve lived in Golden Plains Shire since early 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Community involvement: Volunteer firefighter with the Smythesdale brigade. Member of the Scarsdale Country Women&#8217;s Association. Associated with a political party or movement?<\/p>\n<p>No, I have no party affiliation. I have never been a party member.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferencing<\/strong>: I&#8217;m asking my supporters to put a one next to my name and number the other boxes as they see fit.<\/p>\n<p>Campaign budget? Receiving financial support?<\/p>\n<p>$1500 which covers my printed materials, website and advertising. I haven&#8217;t received any financial assistance. My campaign relies on the help of my close friends and supporters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Three most important issues in your area?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a lot of our townships and localities, people feel the council has forgotten or ignored them. I hope&#8230;I can provide better coverage&#8230; Council is under-performing in certain areas such as roads and roadside slashing, and I want to address the lack of investment&#8230; I really hope to see seven councillors who can conduct themselves with professionalism, in particular being able to respectfully disagree.
