SINGER, songwriter and guitarist Majelen is a vibrant force in Australian acoustic music and will stop in the Northern Rivers on her Long Way to Go 27-date national tour.

Playing Pearces Creek on March 2, Majelen will be joined by her wife and collaborator, Courtney, and special guest, Tessa Devine.

Having toured extensively through the UK, Europe and the US in 2023 and 2024 and also touring with Xavier Rudd, Majelen’s music is an escape into her world of wanderlust and wonder, an invitation to join her on a journey.

A Conservatorium of Music graduate, Majelen’s roots are in jazz guitar. Still, her passion is in the raw energy of acoustic music.

She has crafted a signature playing style of a right-hand percussive technique that transforms performances into a dynamic, immersive experience.

The artist credits Ani DiFranco’s lyrical fire and Ed Sheeran’s heart-on-sleeve storytelling as influences, which she expertly marries with a touch of acoustic ‘doof doof’ rhythms.

Her debut studio album, Stuck With You, is due for release on her Australian-based label Liondance Records. Fusing jazz, blues, folk, rock and soul, it was recorded over 18 hours at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.

Majelen’s heartfelt, documentary-style record takes listeners on an adventure across Australia and beyond, accompanied by her wife and their cat and dog, celebrating love and wanderlust, intertwining tales from their travels with deep affection.

She has also collaborated with Australian guitar maker Cole Clark Guitars, resulting in a signature ‘Majelen’ model.

Majelen is joined by multi-instrumentalist indie-folk singer-songwriter Devine, who will share her extraordinary vocal range and tales and tunes that break the rules.

Devine has opened for artists such as Tones and I, Vika and Linda, John Butler, Diesel and Ash Grunwald and has two EPs, a debut album, and a string of singles to her name.

Between them all, these three artists are sure to amaze at the Pearces Creek Hall.
