Bruns Does Winter Burlesque

One of the Picture House’s most highly demanded shows is back with its winter season. With the ongoing success of its signature show, the Cheeky Cabaret, it was inevitable that the team behind the Brunswick Picture House would put together its own all-burlesque show. Bruns Does Burlesque has become one of the Brunswick Picture House’s most popular shows and is back once again this winter with a new cast. The Bloody Beetroots

The baddest man in electronic music is coming to Hotel Brunswick. The Bloody Beetroots – the iconic masked maestro who’s shared stages with Snoop Dogg, Metallica and Kanye West – is set to bring his genre-smashing blend of electro, punk and dance to Brunswick Heads. Cheek Media founder Hannah Ferguson will headline No Small Thing at The Regent Theatre in Murwillumbah, joining Grata Fund founder Isabelle Reinecke, former Nature Conservancy global director of gender equity Robyn James and Coolamon Community CEO Evie Wood. Hosted by the Northern Rivers Community Foundation Women’s Giving Circle, the evening will explore topics such as climate, gender equality, media, democracy and community action, bringing together women working at the frontline of change to discuss progress happens, where power sits and why local action still matters. Max Clarke, aka Cut Worms, is bringing his latest album Transmitter to The Citadel in Murwillumbah. Produced by Jeff Tweedy at Wilco’s Loft, the record expands Clarke’s vintage-leaning power pop with textured alt-rock warmth and reflective songwriting about connection and endurance. Tweedy’s subtle production shapes space rather than dominance, helping Clarke refine a nuanced, timeless sound. Origin Myths | Swerve

Swerve’s paintings explore adoption as an origin narrative, questioning the myth that biological origins define identity. Through vibrant, playful imagery informed by new materialism, the work examines identity as fluid and continually becoming, inviting reflection on belonging, connection, and transformation.
