The Time Travellers’ Manual | Darren Bryant

Bryant – a Northern Rivers based academic and artist, has created work that is concerned with the language of the matrix connected to pressure, memory, and loss. Renowned British artist Isaac Julien’s monumental film work incorporates choreography, geopolitics, poetry, and cinema. Shot across several locations, though anchored in Italy, Julien uses the narrative armature of Luchino Visconti’s 1963 film The Leopard and applies it to the topic of modern-day global migration, focusing on the Mediterranean passage from Africa to Europe.
