A ONE-DAY retreat designed to support women experiencing stress and burnout will be held at Sugar Beach Ranch in Ballina on Sunday, May 18.
Led by Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner Kellie Shields, the Thrive in 2025 retreat combines tapping, meditation, mindfulness and time in nature to help participants reset and recharge.
EFT, sometimes called ’emotional acupuncture’, involves tapping on acupressure points while focusing on emotional challenges.
Practitioners say it can reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelm by calming the nervous system.
Shields, the founder of Tap and Thrive, describes her approach as rooted in connection, compassion and resilience.

“Caring for loved ones has been at the heart of my journey,” she said.
“Whether supporting my family or working with others, I’ve always believed in the power of connection, compassion, and resilience to navigate even the toughest times.
“I’ve dedicated my career to helping people reduce stress, heal emotionally, and find balance in their lives.”
The day program includes an EFT workshop, meditation sessions, a personalised tapping script, wellbeing journal and plan, along with meals and guided activities in the beachside setting.
