Beachy rewinds to the 2000s

THE Beach Hotel is dragging the 2000s back onto the dance floor this Saturday, August 29, with its Throwback party.

The free-entry event runs from 8pm to midnight and promises all the hits you loved, along with plenty that should have stayed dead and buried.

Expect boy bands, Auto-Tune ballads, angsty pop-punk and the kind of club tracks that once ruled MySpace playlists.

Organisers say it is a chance to relive the era of flip phones, skinny jeans and frosted tips, even if some songs may make you wish the decade had stayed in the vault. The Beachy has run a string of themed nights, but this one will test whether nostalgia is strong enough to forgive the crimes of the noughties.
