BLUESFEST Byron Bay has unveiled the first wave of artists set to perform at its 36th and final festival, taking place over Easter from 17 to 20 April 2025.

Headlining the farewell event are legendary acts like Crowded House, Vance Joy, Ocean Alley, and Tones and I, with many more artists to be announced in the coming months.

Last week, festival director Peter Noble announced that after 35 years, 2025 would be the last for Bluesfest. The festival, which has brought top “Blues, Roots, and Beyond” artists to Australia, will take its final bow at the Byron Events Farm.

“As we prepare for the final chapter of Bluesfest in 2025, I am profoundly moved by the outpouring of support from thousands in our community, along with the many artists and their management eager to be part of our farewell edition,” Noble said.

This year’s festival promises to be a grand celebration of Bluesfest’s rich legacy, with Noble expressing gratitude to the community and artists eager to be part of this historic finale.

“We’re thrilled to unveil the first wave of artists for our grand finale. This lineup, meticulously curated to honour Bluesfest’s legacy, features a dynamic mix of legendary and cutting-edge performers.”

Joining the stellar line-up are international and local favourites such as Gary Clark Jr., Rag’n’Bone Man, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, and RY X. Also featured are exclusive acts like Here Come The Mummies, The California Honeydrops, Cimafunk, Neal Francis, and Taj Farrant.

The festival will also showcase Brad Cox, Allison Russell, Marc Broussard, Fanny Lumsden, Pierce Brothers, 19-Twenty, and WILSN, ensuring a diverse and dynamic experience for attendees.

Bluesfest, Australia’s premier contemporary Blues, Roots, and Beyond music festival, has been a cornerstone of the country’s music scene since 1990, hosting icons like BB King, Bob Dylan, and Kendrick Lamar.

The final edition aims to honour this legacy, offering four days of top-tier performances across multiple stages in a setting that has become synonymous with musical excellence. For more information and to secure tickets, visit bluesfest.com.au
