Byron Bay Bluesfest adds new acts to 2025 lineup

FRESH talent has been announced for the 36th Byron Bay Bluesfest, with Missy Higgins, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, and Rodrigo y Gabriela leading the third wave of acts for the 2025 festival.

The festival, held from April 17 to 20 at the Byron Events Farm, will also feature exclusive performances from rising Blues star Melody Angel and the soulful Don West, alongside Nahko, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more.

Missy Higgins’ return to Bluesfest promises a set spanning her 20-year career, including songs from her acclaimed new album, The Second Act.

Festival favourites George Thorogood & The Destroyers will deliver their signature Blues-rock energy, while Rodrigo y Gabriela bring their Grammy-winning guitar virtuosity to the stage.

Bluesfest, Australia’s premier Blues and Roots music festival, has a reputation for showcasing a diverse blend of iconic artists and rising stars.

Festival director Peter Noble said the 2025 lineup reflects Bluesfest’s ongoing commitment to quality.
